Cadillac South Ridge Eagles Crag Loop Trail, Acadia National Park Hancock County,ME
A short loop around cliffs just before Cadillac South Ridge Trail turns from heavily wooded section of mountain to open granite. The loop passes the unmarked Lower Eagles Crag Path (#343) and connection to the Potholes Path (#342). The heavily-used spur has few built features, possibly some early Bates-style steps, and leads to wide granite ledges at lookout point, which offers views to the east and southeast.

The 1905 BHVIA 16th An. Rpt. states, "A new path, Eagle's Crag Path, has been made running from the spring near the lower end of the southern ridge of Green Mountain to the spring on the Pot Hole Path at the base of the mountain. The path passes close under the ragged cliffs of Eagle's Crag, and a branch path has been carried along the top of the cliffs, commanding a beautiful view seaward over the pretty inlet at Otter Creek. A short cut off path is planned, from the Pot Holes to Dike Peak on the southern ridge of Green Mountain."
